Problem
The Trust was awarded funding for a Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). Whilst constructing a permanent CDC unit, the Trust needed a temporary diagnostic facility that would enable it to get up and running straight away, meet volume targets specified by its CDC funding agreement and maintain its position as an early adopter of the CDC concept.
Solution
Agito Medical provided a relocatable CT unit. This was initially alongside another diagnostic imaging supplier, although Agito Medical’s more competitive pricing model led to the company being awarded a second relocatable for the facility. Agito provided staffing whilst Trust brought its own staff onboard.
Results
The Trust was able to hit the volume targets specified in the CDC funding agreement. This was achieved whilst the construction work on the permanent facility was completed. The Trust’s diagnostic services have subsequently transitioned to a new, purpose-built facility, the West Kent Community Diagnostic Centre.
