We are committed to combating Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

Voluntary Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Agito Medical is committed to ethical trading principles and to combating modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains. Although our annual turnover is below the threshold requiring a formal statement under Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have chosen to publish this voluntary statement to demonstrate our commitment to transparency and responsible business conduct.

About Agito Medical

Agito Medical is a provider of diagnostic imaging equipment and related services. Formerly part of the Philips Group, we became an independent company following a divestment in Q4 2024. We operate across several European and international markets, with principal operations in Denmark.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chain primarily consists of:

  • Large multinational healthcare equipment manufactures
  • Smaller UK-based third-party staffing agencies
  • Healthcare organisations selling used or surplus medical equipment

Over 95% of our suppliers are located within the UK or EU, where labour protections and enforcement are robust, significantly reducing the inherent risk of modern slavery or human trafficking.

Our Commitment to Ethical Trading

We are committed to acquiring goods and services in a manner that does not harm others, and we strive to work only with suppliers that align with our ethical standards. Since our separation from Philips, we have been implementing internal procedures to strengthen governance over our supply chain.

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

Given the nature of our supply chain the overall risk of modern slavery is assessed as low. Our local suppliers, particularly in the UK and Denmark, operate injurisdictions with strong enforcement of labour rights.

Since divestment, we have initiated a revalidation process for all existing suppliers. This includes maintaining our own records of supplier certifications, insurance, and ethics-related declarations, including approaches to labour laws and modern slavery prevention.

Key risk mitigation steps include:

  • A formal supplier onboarding process managed by our Quality team, including ethical and compliance due diligence.
  • A requirement that all temporary labour is sourced through reputable agencies that adhere to our Anti-Slavery Policy (or an equivalent).
  • Access to an anonymous whistleblowing service for employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns, including issues relating to modern slavery.

Training and Awareness

To ensure a high level of awareness among employees, we provide training on modern slavery risks, particularly for staff involved in procurement and supply chain management.

Continuous Improvement and Further Steps

While the risk of modern slavery within our business model remains low, we are committed to continuous improvement. In the coming year, we plan to:

  • Expand our supplier risk assessments.
  • Enhance training materials for staff.
  • Formalise a Modern Slavery Risk Register as part of our Quality Management System.
  • Implement a multilingual process to enable vulnerable individuals undergoing diagnostic procedures in our facilities to request assitance.
