Problem
As part of its post-pandemic recovery plan, Wolverhampton Nuffield Hospital identified the need for a weekly CT service alongside its existing, permanent MRI unit. It wanted the CT unit to be capable of handling more complex cases, such as coronary angiograms and colonoscopies, which require specifically trained radiographers.
Solution
Agito Medical provided a one a week mobile CT unit, staffed by experienced radiographers who worked as an extension of the Nuffield team. To improve operational efficiency and reduce workload pressure on the existing team, the Agito radiographers also handled the patient paperwork generated by the unit.
Results
The mobile CT unit and team provided by Agito Medical has slotted seamlessly into the hospital’s radiology department. The hospital is hitting its volume targets, whilst maintaining a high level of service and patient satisfaction.
