Problem
Delays in the production and delivery of new cath lab systems (from another supplier) risked disrupting the emergency care provided by the hospital.
Solution
We provided an interim solution in the form of a mobile unit that enabled the hospital to maintain the quality of its cardiology service. At the clinic there was a preference to undertake ElectroPhysiology (EP) procedures including 3D mapping and cryo-ablation. We were able to tailor our offering to meet this need by installing additional medical gas ports and a gas scavenging system before the lab was delivered, thus ensuring that the cryo-ablator could function correctly.
Once on site, we worked witht he supplier of the EP equipment to fully integrate the cabling into the fabric of the cath lab, positioning all the additional control room monitors and configure the EP image sources into the large screen in the examination room.
Results
The mobile unit we provided ensured that the hospital could offer uninterrupted emergency care to its patients whilst waiting for the arrival of new equipment.
